Barbian in South Tyrol is situated on a panoramic high plateau above Waidbruck in the Eisacktal Valley. It offers its guests two unique attractions: a crooked steeple and a breathtaking view on the Mount Schlern area.
In the warmer seasons excursionists and hikers can follow the paths to Villanders, Feldthurns, Klobenstein and Ritten or visit the hamlet Dreikirchen or Trostburg Castle.
In autumn, however, many cosy farms and guesthouses still cultivate the ancient harvest tradition named “Törggelen”. You are invited to join in and to taste the new wine, roasted chestnuts and traditional South Tyrolean food.
