High above the rest: Deutschnofen?
Deutschnofen in South Tyrol is situated on a high plateau on the Reggelberg in the Egger Valley. Traditional farm houses are scattered all across the plateau; there is no actual centre which might give the impression that we are talking about the middle of nowhere but that is not only so.
It certainly is the right place if you want to enjoy the peace and quiet of a well-deserved holiday. Yet you will find plenty of things to do: If you are into sports, you will like the prospect of skiing in the Alps in the nearby skiing resort of Obereggen. You can also go on one of the cross-country skiing slopes that will take you to see some of the breathtaking scenery with a tremendous view of the Latemar. In summer you can go round exploring one of the innumerable hiking paths, participate in the Nordic Walking or simply enjoy the peace and quiet in your cosy hotel.
