Eisacktal enchants!
The Eisacktal is the first Valley you enter when you go south from the Brenner. Until Franzensfeste it may seem narrow and little attractive with its plunging slopes covered with coniferous forest and above all towering high summits.

But in Brixen, the former diocesan town, the valley widens and shows itself from its most beautiful side: In spring as a sea of pink and white blossoms, in summer as a gentle scenery with a lot of green, in autumn it is lovely with the vines, the apple trees, the chestnut groves, very attractive in winter, too, and above all the wild beauty of the Dolomites. The ski resorts of Rosskopf, Jaufen, and Plose invite to go skiing, snowboarding or cross-country skiing.
Törggele-season
The Eisacktal is rich with its culinary specialities, for example the well-known fifth season, the “Törggele-season”: On an idyllic farm you get good plain cooking, roasted chestnuts and new that means fresh wine. What a pleasure this is!
The Eisacktal in South Tyrol has a lot of valuable works of art: Visit the medieval town of Sterzing, the monastery of Säben or the wonderful cloister in Brixen. The Eisacktal in South Tyrol offers ideal starting points for a holiday, it doesn’t matter if you are mountaineer, skier, art lover or connoisseur … the Eisacktal has something for everyone.
