Wine lovers appreciate Girlan because of its precious and well tasting wines, which you can savour in the numerous wine cellars, during the Martini Market on November 11th and in the course of the famous Girlan Cellar Festival, which takes place regularly every 4 years. In this occasion you cannot only taste delicious wines but also try a variety of culinary speciality from Southern South Tyrol.
In the surroundings of Girlan there are a lot of places worthwhile to visit: St. Michael, Eppan, St. Pauls and the enchanted Valley of Spring, near Kalterersee Lake. If you fancy a dive into the waters of a mountain lake, come and have a bath in one of the two Montiggl Lakes.
