Leifers is a lively little town with Mediterranean flair and only 10 km from Bozen. Embedded in the typical man-built agricultural landscape of Southern South Tyrol, Leifers impresses its visitors with many rewarding excursion paths and attractive sights. Starting from Leifers bikers and excursionists can make a trip to Mount Regglberg or to St. Jakob.
Really worthwhile is also a visit of the Kaltern Lake, the biggest Alpine lake of Europe with its Mediterranean flair. We also recommend a stop in Bozen, the capital of South Tyrol, with many interesting shops – both traditional and modern - and many interesting sights such as for instance the Archaeological Museum with the famous glacier mummy the Iceman, also called Ötzi.
Leifers in Southern South Tyrol seems to be made especially for both lovers of nature AND culture!
