Stroll along the alcoves where you can purchase some wonderful souvenirs, enjoy a cup of cappuccino in one of the traditional cafés or travel through the centuries in the museum of history. You will also find a well-developed road network of hiking and trekking paths which will lead you past vineyards, cypresses, cedar and pine trees. High above the place you will see the ruins of Fortress Caldiff that majestically towers over the picturesque landscape.
Apart from the tremendous view of this scenery, you will also have the chance to see a few decorated remainders of Gothic paintings. The hiking paths also directly lead to the peace and quiet of the beautiful Nature Park Trudner Horn. You can also easily reach the vine villages of Mazon, Pinzon or Montan, where you are welcome to try a sip – the ‘Blue Burgundy’ (Blauburgunder) is particularly renowned. As you can see, there are plenty of ways to find relaxation in Neumarkt in South Tyrol!
