Holidays in Seiser Alm/ Schlern area
The fissured Langkofel or the free-standing Santnerspitze, both part of the Seiser Alm, are most famous photo motifs! But the Seiser Alm has many more superlatives on offer...

...The biggest alp in Europe, the highest plateau … in summer there are many opportunities to take a walk through the sea of flowers on the Seiser Alm in South Tyrol, whether you are looking for an easy walk with the whole family or an alpine climbing tour. Santner, Schlern and Langkofel offer something for everybody.
In winter the Seiser Alm is deeply covered with snow and offers best conditions for the innumerable skiers, snowboarders, cross-country skiers, sledders and snowshoe travellers.
Nature reserve
This wonderful area is preserved because it was declared to be a nature reserve. No traffic at all is allowed on the Seiser Alm. The fresh air of the mountains cannot be polluted by cars or busses. At the foot of the Schlern the small towns of Kastelruth, Seis and Völs are located.
Kastelruther Spatzen
You may already have heard of Kastelruth, because the band “Kastelruther Spatzen”, the best known music group when it comes to traditional music from South Tyrol, was founded here. Front man Norbert Rier rides through the area of the Schlern on his horse, just as the minstrel Oswald of Wolkenstein, who was born here, used to do. And so the “Spatzen” seem to continue the tradition of poetic singing. Come and see for yourself! Maybe during the festival of the “Spatzen” in October, or whenever you like and visit this beautiful place!
