Holidays in Sulden near Ortler
At the foot of the Ortler, the king of the South Tyrolean Mountains lies the little village of Sulden like a loyal subject. The Ortler’s 3905 m high Königsspitze (King’s Peak) makes it the highest mountain in the Eastern Alps and offers an array of hiking tours and excursions, starting from a simple walk to an extreme summit ascent past crevasses moraines.

Messner Mountain Museum
Apart from this, Reinhold Messner has built one of his mountain museums in Sulden. The formation of glaciers and the history of the ascent of the Ortler are illustrated in underground galleries.
