Already in the 15th century pilgrims came to Deutschnonsberg - Ultental Valley to pray at and admire the beautiful Rococo shrine with its marvellous image of the Virgin Mary and Jesus. Unsere liebe Frau im Walde - St. Felix is situated near the Gampen Pass and it is the most ancient settlement in the Ultental Valley and Deutschnonsberg area. The first guesthouses for travellers date back as far as the 12th century. Other attractions worth visiting - besides the above-mentioned place of pilgrimage - are the Tretsee Lake near St. Felix, the waterfalls and its numerous panoramic paths and slopes which can be found all the way between Unsere liebe Frau im Walde - St. Felix, St. Gertraud and St. Pankraz in the Ultental Valley.
