Vinschgau - between flowers and glaciers
Those who are familiar with South Tyrol may claim the Vinschgau is the most beautiful valley. You find interesting contrasts here: The Mediterranean climate in the spa Meran, the Ortler glacier, forever covered in snow and between many fruit-tree meadows and vineyards.
The Vinschgau is most-known for the “Vinschgauer Marille”, an apricot which tastes extremely good because of the climate changing between Mediterranean and fresh mountain-air. You have to try it! In spring the Vinschgau shows its flowery side, the fruit-trees are in bloom and turn the valley into a sea of blossoms.
