Wengen – or rather ‘La Valle’ as the locals call it – in South Tyrol, is situated on the Eastern side of the Garder Valley and is surrounded by many a tale and numerous myths: the Salvans and the Gannes supposedly inhibited this village sitting high up at the scarps at a very early age and now haunt abouts of the caves of the Heiligkreuzkofel.
